Paint Creek Pt. 2, August 5th 2013

It’s been a while, but here is the second part to my paint creek adventures.

Temp: Mid-70s,
Weather: Sunny
Time: 10 am-3:30 pm

We fished several access points along paint creek: Silverbell, the road just above Silverbell,  Dutton, Tienken, and then the lower part of Municipal Park in Rochester, Michigan.

The water was very low, but in the holes that I was able to find, there were only some small trout, mostly rainbows.
I did manage to catch a 6 inch on a spinner just up from Tienken Rd, and we were also able to catch a small bluegill on a fly floating under a bobber.
There were a couple of small mouths in the range of 8 inches or so as well.

All in all, it was enjoyable yet bitterly disappointing, and my quest to find a giant creek brown trout continues.  I will probably come back to this creek and fish a couple of areas later in the season, as well as in late spring, when the water should be quite a bit deeper.
